The Problem

The problem as it is today.   A narrow and uneven footpath hardly wide enough for one person in places and even narrower in the summer when the vegetation grows most vigorously.   Cyclists are mixed with fast traffic and face steep hills heading East leading to frustration for drivers who are unable to overtake.   There is no provision for wheelers and walkers must step on to the road to pass.  Walking westwards in the Winter, pedestrians are blinded by the lights of oncoming traffic in poor light.

This path is wholly inadequate for the number of people using it and needs to be replaced urgently.
